Hello, my name is Julie Nichols. I am an Educational Therapist and Vocational Specialist who provides specialized 
interventions for children, adolescents, and adults with learning, developmental, and cognitive disabilities / neurodiversity
I am also the Director of J & S Educational Therapy and Vocational Services. For over ten years, I worked alone as a practitioner. 
As of 5-1-2024, a wonderful experienced Vocational Specialist has joined my practice to help with the growing demand
for virtual services in the vocational section.  Please read more about her in the second half this page and the next two pages.

Bio for Julie Nichols--

I have 25+ years of experience both as an educator/provider combined and as a parent who has raised two sons with developmental/learning disabilities (Autism and ADHD/LD). I serve a wide age range, from 5 through adulthood.  I provide Educational Therapy services and basic

vocational skills remotely with a physical office also at my home located at 15107 Cog Hill, Selma TX 78154 as an additional option.  I've been

in private practice for over ten years with expanding virtual success over the last four years which is why I have a new (as of 5-1-2024) Vocational Specialist.  I hold a BS in Education from Baylor University (1993), a Master of Education from Concordia University Texas (2009),

and post-graduate credentialing.   All of my Educational Therapy services are one-to-one, but my vocational classes are in small groups of 2 to 4 students.  Please see credentialing links on the next page.

Bio for our full-time Vocational Specialist, Sarah Gamlin

Sarah has provided over 10 years of vocational services for people with disabilities.

In her experience, she has served transition-aged students on work sites and taught them

appropriate social skills.  In her most recent virtual experience, it consisted of helping

customers with self-advocacy, personal adjustment skills, career exploration,

job searching, resume preparation, interview practice, vocational evaluations, and

work incentives. Sarah graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelors of

Science in Justice Studies in 2012 and a Master of Education in Rehabilitation

Counseling in 2015.  Sarah holds Texas VR credentialing, has virtual Texas experience, and has

specialized credentialing as a Workplace Incentive Practitioner through Cornell University's ILR

Employment and Disability Institute.  Sarah will be my new manager of virtual services with her

home office based in Northeast Ohio. We communicate and work together daily!  We also co-teach /

co-treat periodically in the vocational section of J & S Educational Therapy and Vocational Services.
